Amuneke: Chelsea Can Still Beat Barca To UCL Q-Final Spot
Former Barcelona winger, Emmanuel Amuneke, says Chelsea were unlucky not to have won the first leg Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona the at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday, and can win it over two legs, Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports.
Barcelona fought hard to force Chelsea to a 1-1 draw.
Lionel Messi ended his eighth game goal drought by scoring the equaliser after Willian had scored for Chelsea in the 62nd minute.
With the return leg billed for Camp Nou in a fortnight, the former African Footballer of the Year, says Chelsea still stand a 50-50 chance if advancing to the next round.
“It was a very tactical game which Chelsea did very well,” Amuneke told CSN.
“Collectively they did very well, not conceding possession to Barca whose strength is to hold possession to punish teams.
“The game will be open, and if Chelsea deploy the same tactic going with a false 9, they may exploit spaces left behind.
